There have been so many changes in the past year it’s impossible to count. Everything from the way our kids go to school to the way that we buy groceries and even the hugs we give has changed. I guarantee that your business has been affected and if you didn’t have a strong digital presence before, you’ve probably realized that it’s a MUST going forward.
Websites have evolved over the years and it’s the digital equivalent of a business card. People want to see you have one, and that’s about it unless you’re an ecommerce but more to that in a bit. When you want your customers to start their client journey, oftentimes it starts with a website but will push them through a funnel. A series of web pages designed to get customers to take an action step whether it be sign up for a newsletter, buy a product, or register for a demo. The possibilities are endless!
Other must haves in your arsenal include social media. We recommend finding one or two platforms that you like, own those, and then let the content filter to the rest. Trying to be the best on Instagram, TicToc, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter at the same time will run you ragged and frankly your people probably aren’t on all those platforms anyways so don’t waste your time. Content marketing is also a must–people want to know more about who you are, what you do and what you stand for.
Lastly, you must have a mix of paid traffic and organic reach. Banking on creating that one viral video isn’t a very sound business plan and while there are formulas for creating viral content, it’s slightly like playing the lottery. You’re much more likely to win if you consistently buy a ticket.
